How We Started
Dear “Bridge The Gap” Family,
Hello! I’m Annusha Bridglal, the founder of this inspiring community we’ve built together. As someone who has grown up immersed in the digital world, I’ve always been driven by curiosity, exploring the intersections of technology, education, and the future of work.
Witnessing the digital transformation firsthand, I realized that many education systems in the developing world are still operating with outdated frameworks, struggling to keep pace with the rapid evolution of technology. Advanced manufacturing, Industry 4.0, AI, and remote work are reshaping not only industries but also the skills and mindsets needed to thrive. The traditional corporate ladder is giving way to collaboration, cross-functional teams, and hybrid workspaces, yet many students—particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds—are being left behind in this shift.
This gap inspired my journey as a Doctoral researcher, where I focus on the role of emerging technologies and their profound impact on economic and social structures. My mission is clear: to ensure that students, especially those in underserved communities, are prepared and empowered to navigate the future of work.
Out of this passion, Bridge The Gap was born—a community dedicated to providing free, accessible online resources, mentorship programs, and the support necessary to equip the next generation with the skills to thrive in this rapidly changing world. This isn’t just a passion project; it’s a living commitment to transforming research into meaningful action and opportunities.
